How it works.
Six steps, from the pass to the photograph.

Get a pass
A pass is $5. It makes five photographs. The studio opens as soon as you pay. A sign-in link also arrives by email, for coming back later or from another device.

Sign in from the email
Open the link in the email. There is no password. The link signs you in on that device. If it has expired, the studio will send a fresh one.

Upload a clear photo
Add a photo of your face. Use Frame your face to fill the square with it. A second photo of the same person helps. A second person can also be added.

Choose the picture
Pick the band, the scene, what you are wearing and what you are doing. Choose whether you appear as you look now, or as you looked then.

Make the photo
The archive makes the photograph. It takes up to a minute. Every upload is checked automatically first. A refused upload does not use up a photograph.

Keep it
Keep the ones you like. All five, if you like all five. Each kept photograph comes with an All Access pass bearing it, ready to download. You can also ask for one to go on The Wall.
For a better likeness
The photograph is only as good as the photo it starts from.
- ·Take the photo in daylight, near a window or outside. Avoid harsh overhead light.
- ·Face the camera. Look straight at the lens.
- ·No sunglasses. No hats. Nothing covering the face.
- ·Fill the square with your face. Frame your face does this for you.
- ·Add a second photo of the same person, from a slightly different angle, and tick "same person".
- ·For a "then" photo, give your birth year and the hair you had at the time.
The photo you upload is not kept. Photographs you do not keep are removed after 30 days. Kept photographs stay in My Photos for 12 months after you bought the pass. The full details are in the terms and privacy policy.
